APRIL 2024
LoCo Kids was Founded
In April of 2024, LoCo Kids Foundation was founded and became a registered non-profit. Our brand began with a logo, created by Elle A. Design. The board was selected and the mission began!
NOVEMBER 2024
Attended First Event
LoCo Kids attended our first event in Downtown Bellefonatine. We braved the cold and passed out hot chocolate at the Christmas Kick-Off Weekend event!
We sold merch and started to spread word of who we are and what we are trying to do in the community.
DECEMBER 2024
Attended Christmas Parade
We participated in the Downtown Bellefontaine Christmas Parade as volunteers in the Santa Shed. We helped children write and mail letters to Santa.
APRIL 2025
Held the Color Your Way 5K Charity Run
LoCo Kids held a 5K race to raise money for the Children's Museum. The event included bounce houses, balloon artists, face painting, food trucks, music, merch, and a 5k, color-filled race for all ages!

Attended Downtown Bellefontaine Eggstravaganza
LoCo Kids participated in Downtown Days Bellefontaine's Easter Eggstravaganza by handing out candy, giving kids temporary tattoos, and raffling off Easter baskets filled with local goodies.
June 2025
Purchased a Building!
The LoCo Kids children's museum officially has a home! We purchased 149 West Columbus Avenue in Downtown Bellefontaine - a historic building with tons of potential. We've taken the first big step towards building our children's museum!
July–Nov 2025
Demo Days
Our community has stepped up! We've organized several demo days to get our building in tip-top shape. Volunteers during United Way's Community Care Day, students from Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, and locals who care have all pitched in to make this dream a reality.
September 2025
West Liberty Labor Day Festival
If you're local, you know West Liberty's annual labor day festival is the place to be! We set up a booth on family day for kids to create a tie-dye masterpiece.
October 2025
West Liberty Spooktacular
Kids from all over the county attend the West Liberty Spooktacular every year. LoCo Kids created a sensory station for kids to guess what contents our pumpkins held. Is it worms or brains? Nope, just spaghetti!
November 2025
The Children's Museum Gets it's Name!
After months of dreaming, planning, and community collaboration, the LoCo Kids children's museum finally has a name... the LoCo Kids Imaginarium!
